Etched-glass art deco cocktail tables were interspersed between vanilla-colored sofas and ottomans. The living room, dining room and library were satiny
smooth and sumptuous. A long, narrow balcony overlooked Avenida Atlântica, the wide crescent-shaped beach and the open sea beyond.”
